The Rohesia Negroamaro Rosato 2024 will be the first wine from our winery to adopt a screw cap closure. A forward-looking choice, despite the traditional skepticism that still surrounds this technology in the Italian market. But we believe that innovation and quality go hand in hand. This new closure offers not only a sleek and modern design but also outstanding protection: its extremely low oxygen transmission rate (OTR <0.1 mgO₂/year) performs more than ten times better than our current closure.
It preserves the wine’s freshness and integrity as if it had just been bottled—thanks to two key benefits:
1. Oxygen Protection
Oxygen is wine’s greatest enemy. Even tiny amounts can alter aromas and compromise freshness. The screw cap drastically limits oxygen ingress, helping the wine remain more stable and vibrant over time—preserving its bouquet and personality, year after year.
2. Guaranteed Longevity
Unlike other closures, the screw cap provides consistent protection over time. It’s ideal for young wines that thrive on freshness and fragrance, but it also performs excellently for wines with aging potential. Its ability to control the wine’s evolution allows each nuance to shine even many years after bottling.
3. A Reliable Tasting Experience
A screw-capped bottle always delivers a consistent experience. No risk of cork taint or faulty closures just the wine, exactly as intended. A reassurance for the producer, and a guarantee for the consumer.
4. Perfect for Any Occasion
Thanks to its practicality and ability to preserve wine even after opening, the screw cap is perfect for enjoying wine without rush confident that the quality remains intact.
With Rohesia 2024, we want to show that tradition and innovation can coexist beautifully, while safeguarding the elegance and quality of our rosé. After ten years, we’ve also decided it was time for a new look: a refreshed label that reflects both the evolution of the wine and our growing focus on modernity. The elegant, contemporary design once again created by Elisa Costa marks a new chapter where tradition and innovation meet, honoring the unique identity of Rohesia.
The name Rohesia comes from Medieval Latin and means “rose”, a word that carries grace, delicacy, and mystery. The label reinterprets this timeless symbol of beauty and elegance through a geometric pattern that’s more than just a play of shapes: it’s a stylized depiction of the flower itself.
Each triangle represents a petal from a unique rose, symbol of harmony and refinement.
The copper and blush tones recall the warm light of sunset over the Negroamaro vineyards, the beating heart of Rohesia. The petals intertwine as if dancing in the wind that sweeps across the Salento plains, telling the story of a land rich in tradition, craftsmanship, and passion.
